Welcome to my blog. Why narrow compass? For me it’s a reminder to never lose sight of what is in front of you each day and enjoy every moment – in the moment. And find joy and happiness in the comings and goings of daily life. Dreaming, imagining, learning and planning are never limited, but embracing the NOW of daily blessings is vital. Something as simple as a peaceful walk in the garden or the touch of a beloved dog can enrich the spirit. Often these moments are overlooked during the day’s hurried pace.
I like this quote by the English novelist Edward Bulwer-Lytton
“What ever our wandering our happiness will always be found within a narrow compass, and in the middle of the objects more immediately within our reach.”
